The growing importance of QLR can be found in the policy-making and implementation function of the legislature, judiciary and administration, as well as in the work of the Law Commission, policy researchers and lawyers. The design of QLR involves formulating research questions, formulating hypotheses, and testing the hypothesis against the statistical data collected. The sample size should be statistically appropriate and the collection, organization, presentation, analysis and interpretation of data in QLR should be systematic. The analysis of quantitative data by focusing on proportion, central tendency and deviation allows trends to be observed. – ethics in applied quantitative research (certainty/uncertainty, power and “utility”); In this programme, you will also acquire and develop advanced skills in quantitative research through modules that provide specialist training in cutting-edge techniques, as well as training in understanding, explaining and critiquing data in a variety of real-world environments. This module is designed to help students understand and critique the numbers and research they encounter in their daily lives. The first half of the course focuses on imparting the knowledge and skills needed to critically evaluate quantitative factual claims. Each conference uses exemplary quantitative statements, largely derived from the news media, to convey a specific quantitative skill. For example, highlighting a statistic based on a biased sample to teach students the principles of sampling. The seminars build on the content of the lectures and aim to provide students with the practical and computer skills needed to evaluate quantitative demands. This module aims to develop standard research skills into a quantitative research skill that allows the student to work with data, working with different types of data sets/variables to the analysis of this data and its presentation in oral and written form.

Grounded theoretical practice: This is research based on the observations or data from which it was developed. Various lines of evidence used in the theory-based include quantitative data, file review, interviews, observations, and surveys. An example of quantitative research is the survey conducted to understand the time taken to process cases before the Supreme Court and the time required between the filing of the case and the delivery of the judgment. A complainant`s satisfaction survey template can be managed to ask questions such as the length of the process, the number of times they have been called to court, and other similar questions. Work experience is highly valued by employers, and the internships offered involve the application of quantitative analysis to companies and organizations in various sectors, giving you the opportunity to add concrete workplace successes to your resume. This real-world environment can take the form of an individual research project working in a supporting role with a scientist or within a mediation organisation. Students are supported by a supervisor and receive lectures on topics such as: – Good practices in conducting quantitative research projects (e.g. data security, data management, reproducibility); • Learning a range of advanced methods for studying the social world through quantitative research (e.g. associative and causal methods). For each method, students first examine the reasons for the method (its strengths and limitations) and then use the method in practical statistical analysis sessions with appropriate statistical software (e.g.); The LLB law with quantitative research methods is carefully designed to take you from a basic level without prior knowledge of quantitative methods to a comprehensive set of practical quantitative skills, while acquiring a thorough legal basis. • Learn how to communicate and present quantitative data and analysis (e.g. using different types of data visualizations) 1.
